Baker & McKenzie to Pay $6.65 Million to Coudert Bros. Estate
Baker & McKenzie has agreed to pay $6.65 million to compensate the bankruptcy estate of Coudert Brothers for profits Baker earned from unfinished business that partners took with them when they left the defunct Coudert firm, according to Am Law Daily sibling publication the New York Law Journal.

Patton Boggs, White & Case Advise on Hess Buy of American Gas & Oil
In a deal announced Tuesday, Hess Corporation said it will acquire American Oil & Gas Inc. in an all-stock transaction valued at roughly $445 million. Once finalized, the acquisition will boost Hess’s holdings in North Dakota’s Bakken Oil Play by approximately 85,000 acres.
